Protect Free Speech

Freedom of speech and press are fundamental to our country, yet some policies in Washington State are increasingly vague and open to manipulation. The Misinformation Policy, meant to combat false information, can be exploited to label dissenting opinions as "misinformation," reducing the diversity of ideas and stifling healthy debates. Reflecting on my experiences from my country of origin, where free speech and press are severely restricted, I recognize the importance of protecting these freedoms. Government control under the guise of "misinformation" often targets and silences genuine criticism, suppressing dissent and the flow of truthful information. As your legislator, I am committed to advocating for reforms that protect freedom of speech and press.
