Reduce Traffic
Sep 5
Traffic congestion is a significant concern for our community, with 44% of Bellevue residents identifying it as a top issue. Most residents drive cars, leading to heavy congestion on roads like I-405. To address this, we need infrastructure improvements, smarter traffic management systems, and to encourage alternative transportation along with safer pedestrian pathways, dedicated bike lanes, and efficient public transit can all help ease congestion. Despite recent light rail expansions, ridership remains low, raising questions about the system's effectiveness and financial impact. We need to allocate resources efficiently and prioritize sustainable projects to reduce congestion and support our community's well-being.
