Social Emotional Learning and CRT
Oct 17, 2024
Critical Race Theory (CRT) defines America as systemically racist and oppressive, using identity politics to divide people into groups of the oppressed and the privileged. This approach mirrors the cultural revolution, where identity politics based on social class created deep societal divisions. In the U.S., CRT is being implemented in K-12 education through Social Emotional Learning (SEL), fostering a new consciousness aligned with CRT viewpoints. While SEL might seem benign, it can be quite influential and problematic, particularly when influenced by progressive ideologies. School counselors might even withhold information from parents if deemed in the student's best interest. As your legislator, I will work to prevent data mining and mental health treatments for children without parental consent. I hope to earn your vote this November 5th.
